X-ScaleSolutions is pleased to announce the release of X-ScaleSecureMPI 2024.9.

X-ScaleSecureMPI library is an enhanced MPI library that provides secure communication in security-sensitive MPI applications running on modern HPC and cloud platforms. Compared to an alternate communication library with security protection based on IPSec, this library is able to provide secure MPI-level point-to-point and collective communication with high performance and significantly lower overhead. It can be configured and optimized using a set of cryptographic libraries and encryption schemes to achieve security protection appropriate for customer’s applications and use cases.  

The X-ScaleSecureMPI release 2024.9 has the following main features:

• Scalable solutions of secure communication middleware based on the MVAPICH2-2.3.7 library 
• Flexible support for multiple cryptographic libraries and encryption schemes, configurable per customer request 
• Compliant to TLS/SSL security key management protocol 
• Supports secured point-to-point communication operations, blocking and non-blocking 
• Supports widely used collective operations including broadcast, alltoall, and allgather 
• Tested with MPI micro-benchmarks and applications using up to 1,024 MPI ranks
• Simple installation and execution in one command. No change to the MPI API from the application or user side is required, just add the X-ScaleSecureMPI installation as a shared library
