Countdown to ISC ‘19
X-ScaleSolutions will be participating in the year’s ISC High Performance 2019 conference held in Frankfurt, Germany from June 16-20, 2019. Dhabaleswar K. (DK) Panda, Owner and CEO, will give a keynote talk entitled Scalable and Distributed DNN Training on Modern HPC Systems: Challenges and Solutions at the Scalable Data Analytics in Scientific Computing (SDASC) workshop. This talk will outline a set of challenges being faced by the Deep Learning community currently for scalable DNN training and how multiple approaches from X-ScaleSolutions can help to solve these challenges.
The X-ScaleSolutions’ team has a long history of involvement with ISC. In addition to Dr. Panda’s keynote talk, the team will be participating at multiple events at the conference, including presentation of two tutorials, a poster presentation, an invited talk and a BOF presentation. Dr. Hari Subramoni, Senior Systems Architect, will participate in a panel discussion. In addition, Drs. Panda and Hari have organized the Fifth International Workshop on Communication Architectures for HPC, Big Data, Deep Learning and Clouds at Extreme Scale which is co-located at ISC. Event Details:
ISC High Performance, formerly named International Supercomputing Conference, was established in 1986 and is the oldest supercomputing conference in the world. It continues to grow steadily in size and impact each year. This year, approximately 3,500 researchers and commercial users will participate in the technical program and 160 exhibitors will share the latest HPC technologies.
ISC focuses on topics that are critical to the development of the high performance computing field. This year, there will be expanded topics in the area of machine learning to allow high performance computing users to share the latest advances in this area.
