X-ScaleSolutions participated in this year’s Fourth Annual High-Performance Computing Security Workshop which took place May 21 – 22, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas.
The workshop aims to listen to the community’s needs, report and reflect on the ongoing activities of the HPC Security Working Group, and define and discuss future directions with stakeholders from industry, academia, and government. The workshop is sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
During this workshop, X-ScaleSolutions provided an overview of the X-ScaleSecureMPI software product which addresses the need for secure communication for HPC applications running on existing or emerging HPC systems and cloud computing facilities. This software delivers secured point-to-point and collective communication for an MPI job with minimal overhead, leading to a significant boost in performance and scalability of security and privacy sensitive applications that use MPI with cost-effective resource sharing usage models.

In addition, DK Panda gave a talk entitled Designing Secured MPI for HPC: Opportunities and Challenges and led a breakout session on Impact of AI on System Security.
